Here is a video of me, Ciara and Milly (my group in media) discussing what we had planned originally for our coursework.

During the Christmas holiday's, we went to Overstrand beach just near Cromer to film our idea, we went with the characters we needed and brought the filming accessories also. We also thought we went at the right time in order to film in the correct lighting etc, but it turns out we couldn't work out how to film with the camera we were using, therefore we took a variety of photographs so our trip wouldn't have gone to waste and we have decided to add these photos into our final piece in order to show bits of our original plan was involved.

Our new plan: (Thriller+ Drama)

New and final plan for coursework:

We have decided that our original ideas were all far too complicated so we have completely changed our plot and final idea for the last time. We were told that our original ideas were too complicated because we wanted to involve too many features in each scene, which would be near impossible when trying to round it down to a 2 minute film opening. In films, the opening scenes are usually the most simplistic but effective ways of identifying certain characters etc. So our last and definite idea is to film a boy (teenage roughly about 17 years of age) sitting in the middle of a busy place like a town etc, and get him to be completely still, whilst we would time lapse the rest, so he is the only one completely still whilst everything else in his surroundings have been sped up to look extremely manic and rushed. This can give off the effect that he is lonely or has something sad to say because he is just sat there on his own doing nothing. In the opening 2 minutes, we will also get a voice over of the teenage boy saying and talking about his life. Maybe something about his school friends or him being left out, we could even get him saying a voice over from a specific poem which insinuates on loneliness.

Our film name which we have chosen is called BELOW. The reason why we chose this name is because it links into 'below the breadline' which is a term meaning that he is poor - DEFINITION: the poorest condition in which it is acceptable to live.

So this would insinuate to the reason why he is sitting in the same place for such a long time and everyone else is busy spending money around him.
